Those three words must be the only for real, true words in the dictionary.

When those three words are put together to phrase; "Nothing is Forever"...they sum up the past, present and future of life.

That phrase can mean anything from the wind blowing a leaf to a different spot on the ground to ones life being ended. A strong bold phrase it is.

We humans take for granted that our way of life will never change, or what we know and do each day will always be here for us.

Wrong.."Nothing is Forever".

I can see why some people have the attitude of, "Oh well" and don't give a care or get wrapped up into situations.

I wish I could learn to be that way for my own good. lol

To big hearted and to dedicated when I put my mind to something. I need to learn to tell
myself before I get involved ....
"Cyber, Remember before you wrap yourself into this project, "Nothing is Forever".

I wonder if that will help?
Knowing me I kind of doubt it .. lol
It's either 100% of myself or none at all.:biggrin_25519:

I can't really say Iam a religious person by know means. I have had the opportunity to visit many different churches on Sundays, and can say that I've never really found one where I fit in.

Religion to me is nothing more then going to church and gossiping about your neighbors or whoever at that moment.

I clam up when preachers and others come up to me and start asking questions, that I feel is none of their business. I guess that's why I don't fit in.

Now, GOD is a different story. I whole hardly believe in GOD. I believe that Jesus Christ is GOD. I believe through Jesus Christ is the way to Heaven. I guess if that makes me religious, then so be it.

I personally don't need a church to worship GOD. I feel that a person can do that on their own and do a fine job of it.

Spending time at home reading the BIBLE with a loved one can be a church. Praying with each other and holding conversations about Jesus Christ are very special with the ones that you love.

I also get turned off by the TV preachers and their lavish surroundings.

Jesus did not need fine clothes and GOLD jewelry, Gold toilets and furniture, Satin drapes, or even a football sized church to preach his word in.

To me, that is nothing more then greed.

So, my way of worshipping GOD I believe is the best way. I don't get wrapped up into the lavish greed and the pleading for donations that most churches get in to.

Although, I have no idea as to what Jesus is wondering or thinking, but he can't really like the idea of a greedy preacher or church, that don't give the money to the LORD, or spend it wisely.

I don't think Jesus meant for the ones who work for him, to purchase themselves million dollar homes, cars, furs, diamonds, etc...

What I believe he meant was to take the money that was given and use it to his benefit for helping others. I don't see how a preacher with all of the above mentioned items, can help anyone but themselves.

With the end of this year approaching and the gloomy out look of the new year coming into play, has reminded me all to well, that taking things for granted has a way of hitting you up along side the head every now and then.

I think for me, I took for granted that my job would always be there and my bills would always be paid.

That food would be easy to purchase and electric and gas would warm and light my home and so on.

Stepping back and Thanking GOD every now and then isn't such a bad idea for the things we have been blessed with.

I myself should have done more thanking and less thinking all is well.

I so hope that all of you keep working and you and your families will endure these hard times we are facing.

Let us not forget that, He who holds the world in the palm of his hands, can fix what is broken.

It is mind boggling how ones husband can adore, love, enjoy, admire tools.

For my husband it is truly..."Tool Time"...whenever he has the chance to, what he calls..."Tinker".

The garage is not that far from the house and you would think that he would hear me calling him for dinner...NOT!

He had some air compressor running and some other machines going and even if I were to ask what he was doing, I could never possibly understand his explanation.

Anyway, I called him for dinner several times within an hour and a half till I was getting pretty pissed off.

I being stubborn refused to go and get his butt for I felt he should be able to hear me and or his stomach would tell him it's time to eat.

The neighbor just "happened by" in his words, but I think he was more curious as to why I was sitting on the back steps, talking to myself and inserting 4 letter words as I rambled on.

I asked my neighbor to do me a favor and to take my husband his cell phone for he had a phone call.

Guess who was on the other line?

"HEY @@@####! It's time for dinner! Would you mind putting your toys down for a bit so we could eat? YOU didn't hear me calling you?"

"NO honey! Iam having fun taking apart the chipper-mulcher and sharpening the blades and I've got pieces of it laying all over the garage and etc......"

I didn't hear anything after that.:biggrin_25525:

I have no clue as to why I do this, but every AUGUST it seems, I go through this phase of wanting to plant more flowers and Rose of Sharons.

This last weekend, I re-planted a few of the shrubs that we had as I wasn't crazy about where we had planted them before.

So I got my trusty shovel out in this HOT weather and went to town digging holes and re-planting in different areas.

(The next day, I could not lift a fork I was so sore....:biggrin_2555:)

GOT this all done and WOW! It looked so good and I had room for more! LOL

SO, hubby and I went to a Garden center and bought three more Rose of Sharons. I was specific in my color choices too. Wanted two REDS and one BLUE. LOL

YOU never really know what you are getting as far as color till they bloom next year anyway. I have purchased them before with tags saying they are a certain color and ending up with something else.

Hubby says we can't plant any more as we are full up.:biggrin_25525:

Iam not sure what will happen next August, when I get this ... "wanting to plant something again".:biggrin_2552:

Hmmm...That flower bed near the road needs some more stuff:yes2557:.

I don't know how you all feel about getting involved when you come upon an incident or a domestic.

Hubby and I had gone to Meijer yesterday to get some groceries.

The yelling began while we were over in the Pharmacy section and it became louder. We could hear two peoples voices, a man and a woman yelling and screaming all kinds of stuff at each other.

As we got closer we could see by the cold MILK section a man threatening to hit his wife with a carton of eggs.

The manager of the store appeared and had informed the husband that he had called 911 and to put the eggs down and leave the store.

Well, the husband started calling the manager names and it just kept getting worse, when all of a sudden the husband picked up a gallon of milk and threw it at his wife and hit her in the back. She went down and just then my husband leaped on this dude and took him to the floor....sigh

I was like...WTH???

He held him down till the cops could get there.

The cops arrested the guy and took him out.

The wife was crying and so upset. I felt so sorry for her. The argument was actually over nothing. She said her husband has a terrible temper and just goes off.

I manager thanked my husband for his quick action, as did the wife.

We left without getting groceries as hubbys jeans were all wet from the milk...lol

BUT went back later and did the shopping.

YOU just never know what's going to happen anymore outside your home.

It's getting more strange and violent out there folks.

My Mother knew that I would need stitches to fix such a hole.

The DOC who lived not far from us was known as a "Horse Doctor", because of his rough demeanor.

We went in and he had asked my MOM to leave the room to stitch me up. I was scared to death to see that he was going to stitch my knee without any kind of a medication to make it numb. I cried and screamed as he held me down and the nurse came in to hold me as well.

Needless to say, I have to admit that this experience left a very bad taste for Doctors in general into my adulthood.

So I guess, I would have to say that Iam afraid of Doctors and just dread when I have to go. My blood pressure goes sky high, due to "White Coat Syndrome" and I shake like a leaf.

I had one Doctor tell me that, that experience started a thing with Anxiety and I guess I would have to say that's about right.:biggrin_25513:

Well, I have to admit, haven't bought new furniture in quite a long time, so replacing my old Recliner turned out to be more then a stressful situation.

My old rocker/recliner just could not be patched up anymore, so we went shopping for a couple new ones for the living room.

I have to tell ya, this old recliner and me got along just fine and I hated to set it out for the garbage man, but had no choice in the matter.

I knew the make and model number of my old recliner thinking I could just walk in to a furniture store and buy it again...lol WRONG!!

The nice young lady said; "This Model is not made anymore". I about died right there!:biggrin_2552:

My husband and I decided to sit in a few recliners and try them out in hopes of finding one or two almost like the one I had.

The first two recliners that we ordered, came to our home and we sat in them and ####, they were not like what we had sat in at the store! Sat very uncomfortable! Well, those chairs went back, and back we went to the store to try out more.

Had another pair of recliners delivered again. Still not right!
Back they went and we went to a different furniture store this time.

I know part of this problem is that, I was spoiled by this lovely old recliner that I had, and changing to something else was just not in my soul at the time........lol

Finally, ended up with a couple of LANE rocker/recliners that are actually pretty awesome.

I think I have found something comparable to my old friend that was carted away today to it's final destination.

GOOD BYE OLD FRIEND!

America has lost it's focus on it's own people in my opinion.

We have issues and problems right here at home in this country that need to be dealt with, and when I hear of such large amounts of money being spent on a WAR that I don't agree with first of all is a loss.

I respect our MILITARY a great deal, but feel the MONEY could be put to better use.

Now with IRAN heating up the waters, I feel that more of Americas issues such as the ecomomy, oil, jobs, will be put back further on the burner.:biggrin_2552:

The screaming, yelling, crying, and whatever else they were doing in their yard, which consists of games played in a pool, had just gotten to her.

MY neighbor had walked down to their house and asked if they could keep their children from screaming, as she did not want to make it a police issue. SHE told me that she was kind and considerate to them and they got mad at her and started yelling at her for her problem with thier chidren.

Well on this neighbors behalf, I have to admit they are loud unruly kids and their parents well, we won't go there. lol

So when is a Noise ordinance violated? How much does a person have to hear or put up with before they make a decision to call the police?

I checked in with our township and from what I understand the noise ordinance is anytime if something bothers another.

I have to admit I have called the police when I can't sleep from some boom box from down the street in a car or a home stereo system at 3am.

I hate to call the police on my neighbors, but feel like I may have to support my good neighbor who tried to resolve this issue nicely.
sigh.........Just another fine day in paradise.

FOOD I've noticed a big jump, so cutting down on chocolate and any other favorites.

Iam lowering my vehicle to PL-PD in hopes of saving a little there.

OH and I can't forget the internet bill. THAT did go up which pissed me off and did make a phone call, but hell they didn't' care.

Gas/Diesel, Iam lost for words here!

I mean What the Hell here?

Can't this crazy raising be stopped somehow?

Things just keep going higher and higher......sigh:biggrin_25513:

Anybody grow up in a setting like this?

I did!

And Iam here to tell ya, I still live with some memories of my raising that sets a person back a spell.

MY mother especially never told us kids that she loved us. And if we told her that we loved her, she would say, "OH that's silly, don't say that".

MY Father whom I loved dearly, was never big on hugging, or the love thing either.
His thing to tell us kids was, "Toughen UP, and stay tough, don't cry, you can't cry in this family".

Backstabbing & gossip was the setting of this drama family being played out into real life.
MY mother would pit us kids up against each other instead of offering solutions to solve issues between us.

I was on the track team, softball team, singing group, artist group, etc...all thru high school and my parents never came once to see me perform.

I was baptized along with my sister in a church without my family present. Somehow that right there I find very sad.

Although, as I write this, there were some real good times to remember as well.

I must never forget the good times, as they keep me heading in the right direction for myself and my family now.

I guess you could say, that I made it thru some rough family years growing up, only to have a pretty good life now.:biggrin_25525:
