Most hate the job and have the same stories, they are leaving as soon as they can.:biggrin_2556:
They are use to newbees who are indebt to them for their training and try to push you !
Most of the Mgt I talked to on the phone were rude .
There are a lot of cost to start up their locks ,load straps and so on that they deduct from your check and you must buy them.
No money coming in and I had scales, tolls and even oil I had to pay for .
I did get the money back for all but the oil .
They give you oil in gal jugs to take but my truck drank them in the first week and need more , and they tell you to buy it and we'll pay you back .
No one can tell me if I
am being taxed on my money being paid back, it in the check !
They had me burn up 6 hrs chasing an empty trailer (news to me unpaid) time and think nothing of hanging you out unpaid .
I have 2 good tires on my truck, the rest are at the limit. Make that three , I blew a steering going down the road .
That was the 2nd unpaid breakdown in the two weeks working here.
This job is geared for the homeless, and I am surprised they haven't try to charge the drivers rent.
I think like abused dogs are loyal to their masters, some of the drivers think this is a good job .
Most don't families to support or homes.
This is a good job if your homeless !

I hope it all works ! My wife back in jersey isn't having a easytime of it!
Iam a truckdriver and sitting in meetings and classes wears me out !

I trusted my instinct and it didn't feel wright for me.
If you think your not going to like a job before they hire you why commit to it and make everyone unhappy !
There were some key trigger points that influenced my decision and they were not addressed before I went and skirted around when I asked .
Anything that goes wrong will be my fault, but just don't use the Qcom talk to us, and than one of the other supervisors tell us to use the Qcom because of issues with the dispatchers and we may need a record .
There's been a recent turnover in drivers, but thinks aren't greener on the other side !
This was the first day and there were enough negitive things being thrown !
This was my decision and I am confident in my choice .

So I am back in N.J. and most likely will be laid off this june from YRC .

So I made through my 1st day ! Something just isn't wright .
You should do about2500 miles a week but, things are slow.
The sliding pay scale is a kick.
They want two hundred dollars if you leave before 90 days and 300 more if you don't return the truck to where you picked it up plus 1.00 a mile to go get it .

Thats a lot more than they pay.
I think Iam a bit spoiled being a linehaul driver these past years . Tomorrow will tell !
I think dedicated is what I need to find !
