Hey guys i talked to wil_trans yesterday about a job.I don,t know anything about them.but with me not getting my deploma i have no choice.i need a job real bad bills are pileing up no more money in the bank.got to what you have to till i can do better.thinks ya for all the help.if everything goes ok they said i could start september 8th.

ya know i just dont understand ~im an owner opp here got 6 trucks and i just dont see how these companys expect any 1 to make any money with the price of fuel at 4.00 a gal~these companys and brokers are still stuck in the 80 s i think wanting u to haull shit for 1.75 a mile ~my trucks dont haul anything under 2.50 a mile and its still hard to make money at that~~~~i guess welcome to owner opp huh?

I've put out a few emails asking companies if they had any interest and got my first response tonight. It was from Maverick who I have an interest in. We discussed their specialized division and I guess we'll see how it goes. OK, It was a recruiter and all that, but it was nice to hear someone was interested in me.

Becoming a truck driver has been a dream of mine since I was in High School. After graduation I was eager willing and ready to take to the road. Unfortunately I hit a major road block, my age, to do anything across state lines you had to be 21, and the only in state driving you could do was for farmers. Needless to say they had these things called insurance companies that wanted you to be 21, or a member of the family.

When I finally reached the grand old age of 21, I was chin deep...

Ready for school

Had to drive to school to pay and get my school ID this morning. Talked to one of the other students and heard that in the last class 17 graduated out of 40! Seems like a lot that didn't make it. Oh well, one week till school really starts. Hopefully I'll be one of the ones who graduates.

So, I'm driving down a surface street - truck loaded with heavy ductile iron pipe (like cast-iron, but heavy gauge metal and coated with cement plus an asphaltic coating on top of that). I am approaching a construction site - it was obvious from the GIANT sign that ANYONE could see from a freakin' half mile away that all traffic was being diverted to the left lane.

I always get into whatever lane you have to get into long before I arrive - just like any trucker - who wants to get...
