Shock and Awe (talking to recruits in Atlanta) Posted 08.20.2008 at 07.02 AM by latanea I was sitting in the lobby of the hotel we use in Atlanta the other day (Monday) and a group of seven came in and plopped down in the lobby couches around where I was sitting... the new 4 letter word Posted 08.20.2008 at 02.48 AM by ETS FTW For some time it seems to me that saying you're American is like using a 4 letter word. Being in the Army I travel a lot all over the world. I get the briefs about keeping a low profile etc. I'm beyond the point of appologizing for being American. On my first overseas tour I felt really out of place. I was stationed in Japan, btw I'm 6'1 and very pastie, I stick out just a bit. You know what I learned though. I need an experienced team partner Posted 08.19.2008 at 04.01 PM by BEROMO Hi all, I will be starting with Schneider in about 1 week for training and then OTR. I have 6 months previous experience back in 2006, this is why I have to do the training thing over again - no big deal though, it best to be safe then sorry. Are there any experienced female drivers that are with Schneider who are currently looking for a team partner OTR? I saw 2 movies last weekend. Posted 08.18.2008 at 04.42 PM by Quebeker Friday night, I watched "Next" starring Nic Cage on TV. Nic Cage wasn't as bad as I expected him to be. (Last of his movies I saw was "Ghost Rider" and he was like a "Zoolander" on a motorcycle, i.e. he was awful.) I thought the movie was pretty good until the end and then it totally caught me by surprised and it pissed me off that I did not see it coming and it made the flick better. She left Thursday afternoon and came back on Sunday after lunch. My wife (Melinda) was off all weekend long. And I got home Friday morning and left Sunday before lunch. Obviously, I did not see my little girl this weekend. But that is not really unusual as I have been gone 2-3 weeks at a time before. This time, she's the one that was gone. Just Melinda and me in... Photo Shoot Posted 08.17.2008 at 02.23 PM by ParkRanger This is a little off the trucking subject. One of my other interests is photography. With no experience I've applied at various places for a job, but with no experience, I have no offers. But a local group that does sport groups hired me to shoot kids. I did it yesterday and it was fun (but a bunch of work). Hopefully when I get on the road I can shoot some drivers and their trucks. ParkRanger Light Load Member
