Stung by a Scorpion

Posted 09.15.2008 at 03.03 PM by TrooperRat
Off of the stories from the past, I was stung several times last night be a scorpion. I had just sat down to eat a nice meal that I had prepared for my boys and I: pork chops, gravy, corn and a huge pot of mashed taters.
I was busily scarfing as the food was quite good if I do say so myself, when I felt a stabbing pain in my knee. I jerked back on my seat and felt another stabbing pain.
I had no idea what had happened, only that "liquid fire" had just been injected into...

2 weeks down, 6 to go!

Posted 09.14.2008 at 07.51 AM by ParkRanger
It was a tough week. Everything went well, but the hours seemed to be long. Friday I was just burned out. I got home, talked to the wife a little, ate a little, and went to bed about 8:30. I'm doing some photography work on weekends and had a shoot Saturday, got home took a nap. I'm about useless around the house so thanks to my lovely spouse, everything gets done. Some of the other students are working or don't have the support that I do, so I don't know how they do it. Maverick has been asking...

Getting Lost

Posted 09.11.2008 at 07.33 PM by rookietrucker
Life on the road as a truck driver can be a roller coaster. Some days everything runs smooth and perfect. Then there are days everything seems to go wrong. You never know what to expect. Putting up with traffic on a daily basis is enough to tear any professional driver’s nerves apart. Add bad weather to the equation with a bad set of directions. What you have is a recipe for disaster with severe consequences for that driver.
It was December 2006. I just dropped five connexes for the 101st...

Eagle Ones Wife :
I have started a photo album and have posted just a few pictures to start with. He finally had a weekend home after a month and a half! I got a few pictures of him and the truck(my parents in one) with my digital camera and he had a disposable camera that needed a few more taken to fill it up, so I did. He takes pictures of places hes been or goes through while driving for me. I hope to get those developed soon and post a few more. Until then, keep the rubber...

A Stranger In My House

Posted 09.10.2008 at 02.17 PM by waiting4theend
Well I have to say that I haven't seen my husband in a month now. He may be home this weekend and I am happy about that. However, I have to get something off of my chest! When he is gone so long and then comes home it's like having a stranger in the house. I miss him everyday but it's so hard to do things differently when he's here. Our daughter is 16 she and I have a routine I guess and when he's here it's so frustrating and we feel guilty for feeling that way. So in all honesty when he's...
