Good deed for the week.... Posted 06.14.2009 at 01.48 PM by rookietrucker I was coming home last night on the scooter(harley) around midnight. I see a white suv ahead of me about two blocks sitting at the light with brake lights on. Light turned green and the suv did not move. By the time I got to the light, it had turned red. So I changed lanes and pulled up next to the suv which turned out to be a fairly new GMC Denali. One of those big fancy smancy expensive GMC suv's. What a horrible week. Posted 06.12.2009 at 07.01 PM by Biscuit75 So I got out to California on Saturday and had a load that I thought was a drop. Well, we do drop loads in there, just not from the shipper I had. So I sat on it until Monday when I was told I could go and get unloaded. Was now supposed to be first come first served. Hmmm, nope! Long story short, CSR for FFE just "assumed" it was and we needed to make an appointment instead. So I dropped it at our yard and headed out looking for an empty trailer. Possessed by possessions, the evils of storage Posted 06.10.2009 at 04.27 PM by Frenzy I have been working the last two weekends on cleaning out a storage unit It looks like this will be the major summer project. Boxes of old paperwork need to be checked before being pitched. Same is true of old clothes. All have to be checked closely because there might be a piece or two of gold jewelery that got misplaced. 6/7/09 Posted 06.07.2009 at 07.17 PM by ScooterDawg Good Lord! Didnt realize how long it had been since I had been on here to post. So I'll bring you up to date. I was at home from the 29th through the 3rd, spending some time with my folks who had come into town. Then I had to put Tater in the shop to see if I could get the turbo and the fuel tank crossover fixed. Finally got him back on Tuesday afternoon. My trucker honey, Fozzy Bear, had worked at the same office with me for the last 5 years so we have been Best Friends and Best Companions 24/7 for that 5 years and now my best friend is only available on the phone, when he isn't driving. It it tough. But because he is happy I will hang tough and find comfort in spending time with my girlfriends and their families as well as my church family. It will make the time we have together...
