I wasn't really sure what to expect, I had only heard what my brother in law has said about his life on the road. My hubby has always wanted to be a trucker. He went with his brother on a few trips and really enjoyed it. So, being laid off in March was the catalyst he needed to go ahead with his dream. But everynow and then...it seems the 'troll' like element can and does slip in... Trolls can have a very corrisive effect in any chat room community. Keep on keeping on.... Posted 07.23.2009 at 09.25 PM by ghostchild Hi, when I was out on the road....you would run into what I call...self loathing truckers....self hate....hate or loathing starts with self...and then it spreads from there.... Fellow drivers that had this idea that because you drove a truck...you must be bottom of the barrel... That's one thing I don't miss about being over the road...the hateful negitave types...let's not pretend their not there....cause they are.... schneider does it again!!!!!! Posted 07.23.2009 at 07.15 PM by anthony_burgess06 Can't get a job anywhere, i call my DBL he told me because of my home time that the job is more important than my mom who has heart problems and was in the hospital at the time, and my family, he also told me that they wouldn't hire me back because they say i quit but i turned my truck in because it needed repairs and my DBL gave me permission for my home time and approved me to call in when i was ready to come back to work, but now he say's the economy will not allow him to hire me back. Slow progress...very slow... Being a over the road trucker wont' allow me to do that... I had one accident about three weeks ago. It was something that I don't think I could have done if I tried to. I was parked over-night in a rest area, when I pulled in my trailier was slightly crooked in the angeled space, so I pulled forward at an angle to straighten it out and backed into the spot.
