A new life Posted 08.05.2009 at 10.53 PM by predestine On October 19 2008 my husband passed away unexpectedly. We were at a truck stop in Connecticut (New Haven), the "Flying J". It was a Sunday and we were on our down time. Around 12:30 in the afternoon we went to take our showers. I got into it in 2006, needed a good paying job after becoming divorced. I had twin sons in college and I needed a good income and fast! A cousin of mine suggested I try trucking. Work is scarce in my area. He was an owner/operator, drove flatbed so I went out OTR with him a few weeks. I loved it! I then got a grant to go to truck driving school. Life continues to move forward....
