I LOATHE Pre-Op Testing! Posted 08.22.2009 at 04.00 AM by GAPrincess Emory University Midtown Hospital MUST streamline their pre-op testing! It took 4 hours to take my vitals (twice), get 4 vials of blood, and update my medical history (twice). My appointment was for 9:10 AM we got there 10 minutes late, which considering what time mom got up and the traffic we encountered was a miracle. A New Heart Posted 08.20.2009 at 05.42 PM by predestine Before my husband Patrick passed away, he had on his license Organ Donor. The other day I received a letter from a man named David, the man who received my husbands heart. It's the second letter from him, and I am always glad to hear from him. My youngest daughter also is always glad to hear from him, and it's always an emotional time for her. David had a very bad heart, it started in his 40's, and progressed into needing a heart to live. A few companies getting smart with work rotation...ect 12 on 7 off ect ect... Here's what often happens...you need a job you need a job...oh who will hire me?! A company hires you...they tell you you have to stay out 2-3 weeks at a time...your so broke at the time that you don't care...you just want MONEY..... Well after a while 2-4 months...once... I'm scared. Posted 08.14.2009 at 03.11 AM by GAPrincess I'm scared. Daddy hasn't been doing well this week at all. He has Parkinson's and his symptoms seem to have intensified lately. On Wednesday when they came back from the senior center he couldn't get himself out of the car by himself. That's only happend once or twice before, but it was last winter when he first came home from the hospital. His sudden weakness and inability to stand up from a sitting position is odd.
