Pain Relivers

Posted 08.13.2009 at 06.32 PM by Tenn sweetpea
Is it just me or do pain relievers seem to be coming in bigger and bigger bottles, while the strength keeps getting stronger and stronger?
Just a couple years ago to get 100 pills for your head ache to go away you would have to buy usually 2 or 4 bottles and you couldn't get it in 500mg per pill.
I was at Wal-mart the other day, and of coarse, I was out of my drug store knock off pain killers. So I was standing there starring at the shelves full of ways to kill your

I really miss soft toilet paper

Posted 08.13.2009 at 05.39 PM by Biscuit75
I was home last week after a 3 week tour I guess you could say. It was nice and I ended up with 4 days off before I headed back out here on the road. That time at home got me thinking... Now that I've been back out here a couple months, what do I miss the most about home?

First is soft toilet paper. Charmin. I don't know what the heck they use at the truck stops but it's hard. Loose leaf paper? Sand paper? The menus from the restaurant? Whatever it is, it's not my Charmin!

You know what I hate? bad parking jobs

Posted 08.12.2009 at 10.42 PM by Tenn sweetpea
I hate drivers who make my day more difficult! You might be wondering, well what could she mean by that? Put your seat belt on because your wish is about to come true!
My most annoying drivers list!!!

1) The lazy driver: we have all seen this type he parks at the end of a row that's not even a parking spot, making it harder for everyone else to get around. This does not just happen in the middle of the night. That I can understand. I'm more talking about the I will only be in

Hometime

Posted 08.12.2009 at 08.22 PM by kiwi kid
Well, Doc got to come home on Sunday night. I had work Monday with a 3am start. But as least we got to spend some time with each other, and he got to spend some time with the kids too. It was sooo hard not to cry when he left on Monday night, but I did manage to keep it held together until he drove off. Sheesh, I hope this gets easier as time goes on. As he drove off, I was filled with pride that this man of mine who, at age 53 was laid off, has managed to retrain and pass all tests and exams, and...

Need Advice

Posted 08.11.2009 at 07.44 PM by batman6609
My last entry stated what was on my mind. I thought the title sounded boring, everyone is trying to get back to work. My question is still in this present economy should one if offered the chance go to O/O or just stay company. I know there are alot of responsiblities with O/O, I read a whole laundry list off one of the posts. When I was in school, one of the teachers said the 1st 1500miles goes to the truck, which I can see. Can anyone shed some light on this through personal experiences or...

back to work

Posted 08.11.2009 at 06.27 PM by batman6609
Need some advice-went to school, got my cdl, went with Werner Enterprises(BIG MISTAKE). I've been off the road for almost 6 months. Possibly being forced to go back on the road, gotta eat! This question is for newbies and the experienced, I know I'll make piss on the milage but I'm also cheap, I already know this coming in. My question is being an Owner Operator, would it be better than being a company driver. Some of the guys that I went to school with went to Covenant, they have a good program....

Sorry to hear that your thinking of becoming homeless... But what the hell.. It might be good for you. You don't want to work.. You don't like ( as you put it) self loathing truckdrivers. So I think it might be a good choice for you. Good luck to you.
