I have found it to be helpful in my world. I reread over things I wrote to myself from past years and reflect upon that time in my life. 18 Days give or take a few hours Posted 01.20.2009 at 04.39 PM by Ms No Name 72 He has talked about this for quite some time. Just hit or miss, but this is it. I want this for him as much as he wants this for himself. No, there is no need for him to do this, he has a great career now, good bennys, vacation time, 401k the whole she-bang. But he has this desire and dream to go over the road. I would be a fool to hold him back from this want. He doesnt ask for much for himself and so in this I will dream with him. Darn Alley Docking ! Posted 01.21.2009 at 07.44 AM by chaser1 Darn Alley docking...just a pesty thing that jams me up sometimes. I have improved and that is good ! Now to strengthen it and then I will hit the road. I enjoy shifting and the rest of the stuf.....Snub braking, driving in the city, driving on roads in the country after a winter event/ snow that was partially clearedmetc. Only thing that is jerking me is that Alley docking ! Dad, you got a second? Posted 01.21.2009 at 11.14 PM by Ms No Name 72 I look around my home and so much is the hard work of yours. Take the first things I notice of my house. My double driveway that you hung out with the concrete guys in the 100 degree heat (digging it out all by yourself) making sure I would be happy. Trucking Companies Gone Bad Posted 02.05.2009 at 01.08 PM by fireant Not new to the trucking industry and we are finding that companies are starting to cut drivers pay + benefits. We are also finding dispatch trying to pull you off your load and pushing you to swap loads with another driver because they ran out of hours. Never asking you if you have the hours to complete the swap, and when you say no, you have created a problem for yourself. Just this one trip caused me a major problem, here is the deal. Trucking Companies gone Bad Posted 02.05.2009 at 02.39 PM by fireant Volunteering to drive truck over the Thanksgiving and through out the Christmas and New Years Holidays so the customers could have there freight moved proved to be unfruitful this past year. Arrived at drop #1 a little over 10 hours early was not a problem. We took the ten hour break, unload and final out on the 2nd and final drop the next morning Christmas eve.
