| | Nice to hear from you. I graduated this past July and am going for my test (for the 2nd time) soon. At first I was bummed about not passing the first time, but then I found out that most Massachusetts drivers have to take it more than once and the guy who was there to take it with me was on his 4th try. Anyway, good luck to you and don't get discouraged. Keep the rubber side down. |

| | 3 times? not yet. Going to try for my 2nd time this wednesday (13th). Don't jinx me! But yes, I am determined. Not a lot of oportunities left for a man who is 49. Been in MFG all my life and that's all dried up. |

| | Bill, My hubby went with Werner, and got lucky with his mentor/trainer. He got a gem. They go by the miles you drive, and I can't remember exactly how many. You can split it and take a week off paid partway through, or stick it out and get a bonus after you deliver your first load. If you don't like your first mentor, then take the time off, and you'll have a different mentor when you come back. If you get a gem, stick it out! My hubby didn't stay with Werner, as he was on a dedicated route that was flooded with drivers, so the miles sucked. After three months, he moved on, and is happy with where he is. |
