The End To Overeating: Food Is A Drug!

Good article. I've heard about the Kessler book and I think it's very important. Diabetes, heart disease, and acid reflux disease are just three examples of diseases related to bad dietary habits and in America these are major killers. Incidentally, these problems related to diet are helping to jack up the cost of health care.

From the inside out

johnn5272000 , Thanks for the comments and the insight from the inside. I think that a perspective from management will be educational and informative. Sometimes I think we as humans can get a little caught up in our stuff, thinking that we are always put upon and not thinking about the company's side, however there are times when company personal do try to throw their weight around and do some not so intelligent things.

I have owned two businesses, and believe me, to make a profit and continue to be successful is a monumental task. If an employee gets off track and is not following the business plan it can really do damage to a business.

The times that we are in now are extremely tough and companies have to do some belt tightening that we probably don't understand, and have a hard time appreciating. Unemployment rates indicate 9.7% and that's just new filers and does not take into account the actual number of people that don't have jobs. I for one can tolerate a bit of unfavorable treatment in order to be employed. None of us want to put up with stuff but our goal should be to work together (with our perspective companies) to be profitable. So what if I have to do something I don't particularly care about, if it's not too much out of line I should welcome the chance, or face not being employed. If we think that it's asking too much to do the little extra things and put up with a little more stress through the workplace then we should move on and not stir up too much of a fuss along the way, just move on. I have always said that the grass is not always greener on the other side but it's different grass! If that's your choice go for it, but beware in these difficult times! Just my thoughts, thanks for the ear.
