Replacing an old Recliner

Well, I have to admit, haven't bought new furniture in quite a long time, so replacing my old Recliner turned out to be more then a stressful situation.
My old rocker/recliner just could not be patched up anymore, so we went shopping for a couple new ones for the living room.
I have to tell ya, this old recliner and me got along just fine and I hated to set it out for the garbage man, but had no choice in the matter.
I knew the make and model number of my old recliner thinking I could just walk in to a furniture store and buy it again...lol WRONG!!
The nice young lady said; "This Model is not made anymore". I about died right there!
My husband and I decided to sit in a few recliners and try them out in hopes of finding one or two almost like the one I had.
The first two recliners that we ordered, came to our home and we sat in them and DAMN, they were not like what we had sat in at the store! Sat very uncomfortable! Well, those chairs went back, and back we went to the store to try out more.
Had another pair of recliners delivered again. Still not right!
Back they went and we went to a different furniture store this time.
I know part of this problem is that, I was spoiled by this lovely old recliner that I had, and changing to something else was just not in my soul at the time........lol
Finally, ended up with a couple of LANE rocker/recliners that are actually pretty awesome.
I think I have found something comparable to my old friend that was carted away today to it's final destination.
GOOD BYE OLD FRIEND!

 |  Part of the problem was you weren't the 1st one sitting in the floor model, it was slightly used, unlike the ones delivered at your house, Other part of the problem was that you probably weren't quite over your old friend. You just have to give the new guy a chance. |

| |  LOL, well you would NOT like my furniture then. EVERYONE gripes about mine and I tell them to buy me a new one then, haha. The only way I get "new" ones is when someone wants to get rid of their old one and it is better than mine and that hasn't happened in about 8 years now...so mine are NOT very comfortable...hey, got to keep up my speedboat, screw the furniture, LMFAO. |

| |  Cyber, I am gonna need to buy a new recliner myself. I have gone a looked a couple of times and haven't found anything that's as comfortable and fits me like my current one. Man, I have had this thing for a good 20 years, it still looks good but the structure has been repaired many times and has about had it. |
