What are you afraid of?
My Mother knew that I would need stitches to fix such a hole.
The DOC who lived not far from us was known as a "Horse Doctor", because of his rough demeanor.
We went in and he had asked my MOM to leave the room to stitch me up. I was scared to death to see that he was going to stitch my knee without any kind of a medication to make it numb. I cried and screamed as he held me down and the nurse came in to hold me as well.
Needless to say, I have to admit that this experience left a very bad taste for Doctors in general into my adulthood.
So I guess, I would have to say that Iam afraid of Doctors and just dread when I have to go. My blood pressure goes sky high, due to "White Coat Syndrome" and I shake like a leaf.
I had one Doctor tell me that, that experience started a thing with Anxiety and I guess I would have to say that's about right.

| | WOW, I remember when I ripped my face off (and tore many other things to pieces) at the age of about 7 and I swear I didn't feel crap! I had well over 100 stitches and such and I DO remember watching them put the stitches in too! But, they must've given me some pain meds though. Sorry to hear that and I would've slapped the prick! |

| | I'm not afraid of doctors. That's a tangible fear that at least makes sense. No, my worst fear as a single gal of 42 is that I am destined to grow old and die alone. Spiders! I am terrified of spiders. A daddy long legs in the bathtub will make me scream like a girl scout and have my heart racing for about an hour. |
