Life after trucking....(marriage)
The longer you drive, it seems the more irrelavant you become towards any other career path....it's hard to work youself back into the 'normal' day to day work force...the pace is so different.
Infact, it's hard to work for anyone if you've been trucking for any length of time...
The urge and temptation to return is strong...like trying to give up an addiction...I mean you know it's not good for you...but...but...it pays the bills...
If you don't find a new job soon or new direction, soon you'll conviently forget all the reasons that made you want to come off the road to begin with...and then you'll wake up again, in the back of the bunk, laying there...asking yourself...'what am I doing here again?'
Again...I don't mind trucking...I just can't do the ot stuff no more...I need weekends off now...I have other aspects of my life I want to develop...I want to get into entertainment...and I can't do all that while sitting at a pilot.
I mean I'm where I'm at now, lacking connections and skills, cause I've already spent to many years out there...
I think I got into it to early...most drivers don't get into it till late in life...I got into it early...so I still have life to live...
Oh well, we'll see how the next few weeks unravel...
