Many ex drivers have odds stacked against them when trying to change or get into other fields...

I mean driving is great when your driving...but outside of driving...sometimes those skills don't translate well into other profesions or jobs...or so the prospect employer thinks...
(shows how little they know)

To me...trucking encompasses everything...
And a good resume will show that...to me when you drive your a
1. manager
2. Security officer
3. Public relations deputy
4. saftey inspector

Not only that...but when you drive...to me you display a level of honesty and trust that goes beyond and above what most employees will ever know...your alone with the freight...and regardless of your own personal struggles and finacial woes...most drivers never violate that trust...

And yet you have employees who work for walmart who can't resist stealing a dollor from the money till....
Collectively truckers are an amazing lot....induvisually...some can be very cruel and mean when speaking anonomsly...

My original plan was to start my own business...and I may have to resort to that plan...times have changed...10 years ago you just walked into a place, filled out an application...and get the job....now everything is internet orientated...and goes to some far off central location where strangers who never met you decide your fate...
Filling out applications now is nothing more than data collection....
And now...even your bad credit can keep you from getting hired...so you get to a point where you either gotta rob and steal...or simply start your own business...

And most...thank goodness...resort to the latter...start their own business...

Anyways, I know I've been typecasted...but I really don't care...writing is something i've always done and something I must continue to do...there's always someone out there who can learn from it...and it's therapy for me...later...
