I've been wanting to become a truck driver for quite along time now. for what ever reason I have put it off. Just wanted to ask should I attend a traditional Truck driving school owned by the company were they put you right to work. I have an another option I could take The written cdl test myself pass it and then rent a truck and try to pass my driving exam. I'm just worried that if I dont have the Training I will have a real hard time finding a job. If there is any one out there with opinion on this I would really like to hear your thoughts on this

Honestly man, i would go through a school... If u goto a company school, and when u graduate they might want u to lease option a truck and u dont wanna do that, thats for sure... but a good school that i will recommend my whole career in trucking will be SMTDS, southern MO, truck Driving School... its in Malden MO.. its the one i went to. and loved it... the most students in a class is only 6. so that means 2 students per instructor. so u get plenty of behind the wheel time.
good luck on ur decision.
