The longest run yet...

In 4 years I had never been out more than 3 beds (laydowns) with Roadway...
This last week I ran to Carlisle Pa. and was expecting to go home when I came off rest at the hotel...
wrong.
I was called to go to Worcester Mass.
Then off rest I went to Milton PA....
then to Akron.... on to Chicago for number 4... then home.
payday will be fat - but damn! I ran out of clean clothes and had to do a load in a truckstop...
I had not had to do that in years...
when it was all said and done I was nearly out of hours and tired...
I do not sleep well in hotels and nearly passed out when I got home yesterday.
The wife fixed a quick dinner and I showered and fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.
now I am rested and wondering what run I will do today... I put on for a turn since I am coming up on enough tours for a few days off.
hopefully they will find something for me - like a district run or a meet somewhere.

 | feel for youi rememebr a time when i thought i was gonna get home only to be sent west. boy was my kids poed. it was set up hometime a month ahead. because of a court date. lost temp custody. so be thankful what you have never know when you might not have it anymore. |
