I have read all the bad stuff about Swift also. My question? How many other Swift drivers feel the same way you do? I MAY end up driving for them in the near future.

The way I figure it, every employer has it's pros and cons. It's all on the person on what they can and can't deal with.

i'm working for them right now too. I think i have a bad dm though. Wish i could get 3000/wk. My dm will give me little 400=500mile runs then I sit for 24hrs. I also have a hard time getting layover pay through her. I have to go over her every time. Think I should get a new dm? I hear alot of bad talk about our drivers and some of it is warranted however it comes down to the person and how safe and responsible they are. I drove a day cab for Coca Cola at 200-300 miles a day and the fellow truckers on the road give us no breaks. It is a brotherhood and everybody can't do this so if one is making a mistake we should help them and show them a better way

Hey bro, it's good to hear that "DIFFERENT" point of view of yours because I am scheduled to start schooling with Swift early this Mar. Just curious, how much exactly for tuition and how long is the course? I am scheduled to be trained in Lewiston, ID and I've seen the place, it is "SLUM" but how is the overall training gonna be is what really scares me. I just hope me and my future mentor will go along just fine.

3200 miles a week at 50mph avg. thats 64 hours. You probally make 28cpm. Thats $896.00 gross pay.
Thats 14.00 per hour. Plus you are away from home 3 to 6 weeks at a time. Your road expenses, Food, coffee, drinks..etc. Your take home pay is 400.00? No Thank you!
