Been with Werner for 8 months now. No change in the pay that makes it worthwhile. Time to move on. My Net Pay for the past 8 months has been $2,391. That's the total. No more. I'm done.

Get real. What kind if fools do you think your talking to?
IF and I say IF... that is all you took home, then you did'nt work for Werner.

Yes it's true

Werner (sp) is only good if you are a trainer. I do know first hand what he is saying. It happened to my husband. We were getting a weekly draw of 200.00 dollars a week, the pay stubs were about another 50.00. I couldn't believe it, my husband was traveling from fla. to Oregon, for 200.00 a week???? How could that be. Also my husband and I were out for weeks, they new that I was with him, put in a 6 week notice for child support court hearing. They said we would be back in time, slowly they brought us towards Fla. and started to bull crap around. Finally they got us a car rental. Lets see we were at one of their termals in Arkansaw had to pay a cab to pick us up at the termal and we had to pay 50.00 to the cab driver. Werner said they would pay for all just we had to pay the cab....... WHAT, anyways they gave the draws to us and when Patrick finished court and got back on the truck (because at this point I truly had enough) they royaly screwed him. He had no pay for 1 month, they said he owed back the car rental money, the gas money, and all tolls. By the way we drove 2 days streight to make court. Patrick went to the termal in Nebraska, quit the job and took a bus home. Also he was starving and werner wouldn'y even give him money for food. I would have to wire the money to him. Werner is no good. They are deceitful, and liers.. Yet when you talk to some of there drivers, they love them. huh????????
I also reported them to the school where patrick got his CDL. license, they were shocked.

Longdayoff. Yes it is real. And the fool here is me for having stayed with Werner Enterprises this long. I drove 48 and Western Regional. Whether you believe it or not is not and issue. I am homeless now, and unable to pay my bills because of a lie that Werner is the real deal. You send me a personal message and I'll meet you at a cafe for coffee in my hometown and I'll bring the paystubs. This is no Bull. Straight up.

Long ago I worked for Covenant Transport for 2 years. I would go to differant terminals to pick up a load or have service work done. I would see people in the trucker's lounge telling me the same kind of things your saying. One time a couple said they had'nt eaten for 3 days because they could not get a draw because they wer'nt under a load, so I go to the terminal manager and tell him to give my load to the couple so they could get a draw. He tell's me that they always cry that they are out of hours and that when they do get a load they turn it down or get sick... It's alway's something he said. He would not give them my load, because he wanted them to quit. I never once took a draw, turned down a load, or run out of hour's.
Trucking is a TOUGH job. Alot of people can't handle it. And I say to you all, If you can't do it... Get out. Do something else, But quit crying about how bad you had it in trucking.

Come on longdayoff

the trucking industry can be hard if you don't know what your doing or your trainer doesn't train you the right way. I have to say the 8mon. on the road w/ my husband, I saw alot of mean drivers, rude drivers, and drivers who wouldn't even help if you were stuck. As far as crying, why is there a forum on this site that lets you tell about the bad companies. It's not crying it's called sharing. Yes, he probably is homeless because of "Weener". There are companies out there trying to screw the good-guy. My husband caught on very quickly, and not everyone is a quick learner. Heck my son inlaw can't even work on a car, however if a MAN would take the time to show someone then maybe he would learn how to fix a car. Mans EGO is a Mans EGO, annd when that kicks in watch out. My husband drove a flat bed, and alls it took was for the company he was working for to send some one to show him once how to strap the load down. Just one time.

I had a BAD trainer. When I got my first truck, I could'nt even back up. But I had the disire to learn. Mostly I knew if I did'nt do things right I would be dead. So I learned on my own. All I'm saying is that if bad training is your excuse and you can't figure it out... Then you need to find another job.
It has notyhing to do with male ego. There are thousands of woman drivers that drive just as good if not better than men. If your working for a company and taking a draw each week, and are only making $10.00 a day.... then you need to look for something else. But don't knock the trucking industry for your failure. Maybe you just did'nt try hard enough or gave up to soon.

I had a great day. Thank you, hope you did as well.
Went to work at 4:30 got home at 12 noon.
I put in my time in this industry and am now rewarded with a great job for a great company. I get a schedule each week. When I'm done pulling every load, I can go home. I get great pay, holiday pay, and aa large Xmas bonus each year.
Plus I live in the bouborn capital of the world...Bardstown, Ky. What could be better?

Well it sounds like you have arrived and are in your prime...... A GOOD place to be. My husband was doing well for 44. and then things happened. I'm happy knowing that God is in control of all things. Even taking the most Loved thing to me. God says, that all things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to his purpose.

If what is posted here is true, $2391.00 in 8 months. You did not have to quit. You were eligible for unemployment benefits. You should have filed a claim. That way Werner would have had to make a decision on your status. This is of course as long as the low pay was not a result of refusing loads.

Just the kind of response I would expect from you. Put up or shut up. Professionals don't try to talk down to their own. Obviously, your personality is a direct result of inbreeding. Kentucky your home right? What was it first cousins or something? Or maybe drinking some of that hooch you been stillin' down in the holler. You're the dumb-ass here jerk.
