Hi to everyone who reads this

I have decided to attempt to be more active on this site and what better way than to post on my own blog. After a year as a trucker I have learned many things about trucking that you will never learn in a CDL mill like the one I went to. The things I have learned are numerous.

1. Trucking is not cheap. There are so many places out there (especially truckstops) that are designed to help you part with your money. If they aren't getting you at the pump they are over OVER charging you for crap in their store (TA, Pilot, Loves etc) As if that isn't enough, after you leave the store and are happy you didn't blow your wad of cash in there, there are beggars outside that go truck to truck asking for money or offering stuff (probably stolen or misrepresented like jewelry, watches and cologne/perfume) for sale. Then, after them come the lot lizards and finally the DOT. When will enough be enough? I am a trucker because I don't like interacting with people. It doesn't mean I don't care. I do, I really do. I just can't be everything to everybody. Especially toothless lot lizards and skanky ho's.

2. You will learn the meaning of the word patience. Waiting at the shipper. Waiting at the consignee. Waiting for 4 wheelers to merge onto the (bleeping) highway. Waiting waiting waiting. Be patient grasshopper.

Well, that's it for right now. I will post later. Hopefully before my time runs out on the 24 hour service I purchased from IdleAire.

To bad the truck stops dont have security to keep rif raf like lot lizards and scam artists trying to sell stolen items to drivers out of the truck stops, and yes the waiting at shippers and receivers does stink, i have been on the dock at a few places as high as 13 hours,, made the company pay for that one, to bad the fmsca cant do something about the wait times at shippers and receivers, like pay the dirvers 50 bucks an hour for waiting. then another 150 an hour to the trucking company, that would end the wait.

The only problem with pacific pride is that sometimes pacific doesnt have a fuel stations in lots of cities or if they do you cant get a big truck to them cause they are way down town where a big truck cant go such as Boise Idaho..

Pacific Pride

I don't drive much on the west coast or in the rockies. I don't remember seeing Pacific Pride CFN out east. It is definitely an option though. thanks.
