Well, I made it through the first week of school. The first couple of days were a little slow due to the paperwork and legal stuff, but then it took off. Yesterday we went out on the road. I had never been inside of a big truck before I started this class, and just learned about double clutching a couple of days ago

. I was the second driver of 3 students in the truck and I did fine

. I failed to double clutch a couple of times, and had a problem with a gear or two, but I kept the trailer out of the ditch and even got to go out on the big road. It was great for my confidence! The other two students with me had a few problems, but I'm sure that they will get it. It was nice to sleep in till 5:30 today, and I'll be studying my shift patterns, double clutching, and pretrip through the weekend. All or the instructors are great and share a great deal of experience and knowedge with us. "Only" 7 weeks to go

.
