Before my husband Patrick passed away, he had on his license Organ Donor. The other day I received a letter from a man named David, the man who received my husbands heart. It's the second letter from him, and I am always thrilled to hear from him. My youngest daughter also is always glad to hear from him and it's always an emotional time for her. David had a very bad heart, it started in his 40's and progressed into needing a heart to live. In June he celebrated his 63 Birthday. That is a blessing for me. He says in his letter that he peddles a bike every morning 4 miles, I thought to myslf W O W. Patrick was always a hard worker up at 5 am and going until the job was done. I could see why David can peddle 4 miles a day. He also states that at times his energy level seems boundless. I remember the monkey transplant (heart) about 30 some years ago, into a baby, and I never relized how far medical science has come. It's been 10 months since the transplant, and Davids body has taken well to the transplant. I am thrilled that some one had the chance to live because of someones generosity. Thats how my husband was a giver, even a better giver than myself.

Common

While each Christian's background may vary and each has a different personality, there is one thing they all have in common: Salvation Jude 1:3. The way they came to Christ will be different in every believer, but the salvation they received is common.
We all believe the same thing. Jesus Christ, the sinless uniquely born Son of God, is the only way to heaven. 1 Peter 3:18.
We all have been delivered from the same place. Not all believers were saved from drugs, or alcohol,...

A new life

Posted 08.05.2009 at 10.53 PM by predestine
On October 19 2008 my husband passed away unexpectedly. We were at a truck stop in Connecticut (New Haven), the "Flying J". It was a Sunday and we were on our down time. Around 12:30 in the afternoon we went to take our showers. For some reason I decided to shower first while he was shaving and finished my shower before he was done. He then took his shower, we were having a conversation about where we were going to eat,the next thing I heard was that terrible sound of someone falling in...
