My Father's Day.

Posted 06.16.2008 at 03.33 PM by Quebeker
Yesterday (Father's Day), I spent most of the day alone with Eva-Mae, Melinda (my wife) had to work.

Mel called to wish me a Happy Father's Day and asked to talk to Eva-Mae.
She told her to wish me a "Happy Daddy Day" and to give me a big kiss and hug, which Eva-Mae hurried to do.

That was at about 9AM and was nice but the real special part happened around 2PM.

Without anybody reminder her, while I was watching TV and she was playing in her room, she came to see me, gave me a hug and kiss and then walked away telling me: "Happy Daddy Day Daddy".

I was floored. And I felt really special.

As a bonus, I was able to wish my Dad a Happy Father's Day in person for the 1st time in at least a dozen years.
Usually, it's on the phone, if one of us remembers.
He lives East of Montreal, in Repentigny and we are in Ingersoll, Ontario (half way between Toronto and Detroit). And he was at our place since Friday and left Sunday at 7AM.
