Slow progress...very slow...

It's not easy...not at all...sometimes it seems everyone is prospering around you....and it seems like your set aside, for special punishment throughout your whole life....
The story is hard, while it's being written...

Good endings are often a thing of fiction....

Not much else to say right now...not in a writing mood, like I usually am...
But this is all like drawings in...

Mind made up....

Posted 07.20.2009 at 09.50 PM by ghostchild
Hi, I've made up my mind...I want to go into entertainment...it's what I'm good at...
Being a over the road trucker wont' allow me to do that...
I'm unemployed...and all the usual suspects are advertising for employment opportunities...but I can't do it...I can't trade my dreams and aspirations for a paycheck and place to sleep....

I have to be tough...and one day it will pay off...
I was on stage and speaking in a mic last week...it felt so natural....

I'm done with training and was handed off to my new fleet manager. I had one accident about three weeks ago. It was something that I don't think I could have done if I tried to. I was parked over-night in a rest area, when I pulled in my trailier was slightly crooked in the angeled space, so I pulled forward at an angle to straighten it out and backed into the spot. The next morning I went to do my pre-trip and much to my horror, the bumper of my freightliner columbia, was hanging down...

USA experience Part 3

Posted 07.18.2009 at 04.21 PM by fd720
Well after spending a week in Van Buren I finally got my second training week underway. Picked up by Carl, a million mile member and veteran of USA since 1988. WOW!! Its not very often a company driver spends 22 years with the same company in my opinion.. So he has a dedicated route from Okla. City to Ohio and back. Yeah its a great route as his student does most of the driving and he gets all the miles. So his week of 2 trips gets approx. 3400 miles and his week of 3 gets him 5100 miles. Yeah I'd...

It's not easy...at this stage your moral can really start to take a hit...and you can start to loose motivation....

Trucking, Las Vegas, and more Trucking

Posted 07.16.2009 at 07.52 PM by Biscuit75
So it's been a few weeks since I posted. But it's been a fun few weeks. I ended up getting up to Philly with a load to set me up to get home for my Vegas trip. I was very impressed when I was put on a 3-way call with the CSR and my fleet manager in order to decide what we wanted to take in order to get home. The option we chose got me home 2 days early, but the CSR said "I would rather get you home early and give you an extra couple days instead of risking it and something happening and you...
