I was at home from the 29th through the 3rd, spending some time with my folks who had come into town. Then I had to put Tater in the shop to see if I could get the turbo and the fuel tank crossover fixed. Finally got him back on Tuesday afternoon. Hadn't posted lately because I had to flip my sleep schedule due to some, shall we say, less than speedy dock workers. If I hadn't been driving, I have been sleeping. But at least this weekend it will get a little easier. Right now I am at the Flying J in Dallas waiting for 100pm to roll around. THen I load out and head to Minneapolis for a Monday delivery. Got my load off late last night in Arlington and shot over to Sulphur Springs to get a drop trailer. And SURPRISE! It was ready (I love it when a plan comes together). I was able to drop and hook and shoot right back out of the slot. During my "exodus", I had the opportunity to enjoy a sensational sunrise. 5/15/09 - Little Man Retires Posted 05.15.2009 at 10.04 PM by ScooterDawg A sad day to say the least.... actually happened 5/13, but it has taken until now to get around to posting...... Little Man got sick. He was using about a gallon of oil every 2000 miles, blowing a lot of Blue Smoke, and losing a lot of power especially going up the hills. So it was Magnum's decision to retire him and issue me another truck. I basically spent the entire weekend outrunning all of the weather and tornados that worked across Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and NC. And then, as luck would have it, last night sitting here at the house, we had tornadoes bouncing all around us. In fact, I stood out on the back porch last evening and actually watched a cloud swirling counterclockwise right above me. needless to say, it was rather ominous. But here I am and all is well.... Got a great night's sleep and got "Little Man" a bath over at the Blue Beacon. He was a little miffed too, so I felt it was only fiting that he got a spa treatment today. Sorry it took me so long to get back on here, but Little Man and I have been hard at it and unfortunately my wi-fi at the truckstops have been "marginal" to say the least.
