Nervous, excited, worried and thrilled.

Those four words truly describe me tonight. I'm about to head to bed and tomorrow we go on the road for my OTR training.

It's been over a year since Grandad and I discussed this change for our lives and now here it is finally. I've got my diet pepsi, my toaster oven, my Bible and my beloved, what more could I possibly need?

Evidently more than I can shove into that cab! ROFL

I'm a bit nervous and worried but I'm far more excited and thrilled.

You are all so very dear to my heart. Thank you for every bit of encouragement, information and support!

Grandad & Nana's Big Adventure finally begins.

Nana, I wish you all the best out there on the road. And to be there side by side with your Grandad.....is pretty darn cool!

Great to hear Nana. I am currently a school teacher considering this change to be with my husband as a team. Our jobs are the only things that separate us. Seems natural and I am excited to start training in June. I will be checking in with you for advice.

wannabe1 ---- first piece of advice --- learn to tinkle in front of him with no blushing. There is NO more privacy and NO delicate sensibilities. I already long for my bathroom with the garden tub and double sinks. However, I love it, love it, love it! I drove us to CA my first day out (yesterday) and I just loved it. (did I mention I loved it?) My mentor (Grandad) said I did wonderful. However, I think he's got the hots for me and may just be trying to flatter me. ROFL

Thanks Texas Nana. Did I metion that I am also considering a move from NV to TX to be closer to my Mom in AR and daughter in OK? That is another reason to be a trucker. We can be all over the country and hopefully stay in touch with loved ones. Keep on truckin. Hope to meet you some day.
