Truck Abandoment
I went to truck driving school through Swift and graduated, then drove with my mentor for 6 wks, then solo for 3 1/2 months. Aug.1 I got tired of the low pay/miles (22000 miles solo), and quit. I was close to home and had a ride from the truck stop. I called my DM and he wanted me to bring the truck into a yard. I explained that I would'nt have a ride and he told me to leave the keys at the fuel desk but he still reported it as truck abandment.
I know I screwed up and would love a 2nd chance with another trucking company, but am not having any luck. W/O at least 6 mo. experince and that single thing on my DAC report, I'm not going anywhere.
Help???
