Its all about me, myself, and I. The decent drivers dont bother to talk on the CB any longer. Too many nasties waiting to pop off on the mic. I think alot of us just feel like "cattle" used and abused by our own companies, DOT, shippers, receivers and everyone in between. I guess all the negativity you hear is related to that. On the more positive note, I'm sure there are a few companies out there that have respect for drivers, its just hard for them to show when they have so many drivers that have no respect for themselves, their companies or anyone else. I think the trick is to learn how to tune these really negative drivers out when you come across them, leave your CB off when you dont need it and do your own thing to stay optomistic!
