Where Have All The Good Men Gone?

I remember when John F. Kennedy said, "ask not what your country can do for you, but rather what you can do for your country." He also gave America a "mission impossible" to put a man on the moon, that America stepped up to and DID.
Sir Winston Churchill was a REAL man and he took his country through some VERY hard times and told his people to, "never, never, never give up." And, they didn't!
So, where are these men today? WHY aren't there GOOD MEN these days to stand up and hold American's accountable for their own selfishness and greed and instead of saying pump more oil, have state-controlled refineries, drill all over creation, cut gas taxes only for political reasons... say STOP YOUR CRAP, AMERICAN'S, stop your selfishness, greed, and CONSERVE???
Where have these good men gone? I have nowhere to look for this anymore. I did respect Obama when he told black fathers to get their head's out of their butts and be accountable. Now, that IS admirable. BUT, then why doesn't he say CONSERVE and MAKE new alternatives to oil?
Make no mistake we CAN stop using oil and make new alternatives that WILL work...we DO have the knowledge, but it will take a GOOD MAN/WOMAN to give some hope and hold people accountable for their OWN actions. We put a man on the moon, why are we still using oil?

 |  these men you seek are around us today - but only time and history books will tell us who will be great. winston churchill was not a popular man in Great Brittian. JFK was even more unpopular in most parts of the country - and viewed as a troublemaker by many (liberal and conservative) time will proabably not be kind to bush's 2 terms - and I would doubt that either mcain or obama will go down in history for anything other than the obvious. |
