It must be something in the water for there's another company owner in that Cambridge area who is known to be an even bigger money hungry psychopathic "clown" in "stripes"

That sounds to be about right and one of the reasons why the Teamsters were contacted to help straighten that place out.

I wondered how long it would take for you to show up here with your usual Challenger bashing and spewing your Teamster BS. Whats the matter, are the management guys over at the other site a little too much for you?? LOL I see you bailed pretty quick when you didn't get the response you wanted. What a joke! LOL

The teamsters failed miserably trying to organize CMF workers and you just can't accept that.

There is a union thread on this forum but as usual you choose to just hi-jack this thread with your union crap!

You may get some sympathy here but you must realize by now that "union pimps" like yourself are not too popular! LOL

Oh well, I don't visit this site very often so rant away....keep making a fool of yourself.

The union didn't cause your company to shut its doors.

The company's pure and simple corporate greed to screw over the workers did.

canuck, do you really think I've been kicked off that site?
I have the ability and will be able to post there whenever I feel like it mon ami... trust me. LOL

Unions have caused more harm than good over the past 30 years or so. Unions were great when there weren't protections in place by government to protect the workers. Nowadays, unions only do one good thing. They ensure that you only have to show up, to have your compensation increased. You get "tenure" for showing up. You can be a crappy worker, but you're still at the top of the seniority list for vacation, get union guaranteed wage increases, etc, all because you showed up to do your mediocre job for 20 years. Heaven forbid a company do away with the union, and then reward employees based on...*gasp*...their performance levels. I mean, base one's pay on results, instead of time served? Not the union way!!

And that is my rant on unions.

Now, back to our regularly scheduled thread topic.

You mean like how companies pay for performance and reward drivers today by not paying them detention time for all of their hours?
Or rewarding you with pay rates which when calculated with the total number of hours you spend to perform the job but do not receive compensation for equates to being treated like slaves?

Or perhaps you meant such rewarding you with loads to such facilities as Smuckers Excel warehouse where drivers aren't allowed to take shelter from tornadoes that are approaching
Or facilities where washrooms are not accessible for driver use.

Unions have always fought to protect workers where government fails.
Government has failed miserably in maintaining workers rights with its right wing, corporate big business friends pulling the strings.

Why do you think government hasn't yet mandated drivers be paid detention time for all of their waiting time...

Is your time free Healthy Driver? Do you like or believe you should be working for free?
