So far my worst experience was at Challenger. Mainly because if you drove 100% legal you got in trouble. LOL Forced team driving for a minimum of 6 months. Team driver 'managers' (and I use the term loosely) had no idea or real training as to what happens in real life on the road.
Equipment was fair. Just be aware that anything that happens is your fault. The DM's and safety department run using their own 'unwritten' rule/employee manual that is a complete 180* turn from the one you are given. They will back stab you any chance they get and really do not care one iota about your family. Although they state to be a family oriented company.
I learned a lot there, mainly to tell my DM to shove it in no uncertain terms if/when they try to get you to do something illegal or against their policy. The company puts on a nice dog and pony show to get recruits, but, is always recruiting to replace the turnover. Most of the people I started out with there are now gone and any left over are miserable.
I'm just sayin'TruckerG65, AJTrucker and snafutoo Thank this. -
i never experianced crap at DM Krenkowich. They never forced me to run illegal. I sat a few times but overall the company treated me great. Awesome trucks, new trailers and they pay well. And no I am not working for the company nor am I on their pay roll for saying good things about them.

If they are so great why are you no longer working there.

Just like any company, some find a place good, while others don't. My friend is pushed often, but he likes it, so he doesn't say much. However, seeing that he's getting older, his body might not take it too much longer. But, again, this past week the owner fired 2 more drivers. He's going nuts with the firings over there. hehe -
The only 2 places I can talk about with personal experience are both based out of Winnipeg. New Hope Transport, and EBD Enterprises.
New Hope was a great place when I first started there. Still isn't a bad place. I put in nearly 6 years there. Only reason why I left was that I wanted to stay in Canada. I was tired of the hassles with food and the like at the border.
So, I went to EBD. Only been here a few months now, but I'm loving it here. No checking in daily with your hours. Good pay. Good benefits. Great equipment. I see no reason to not like where I am now.AJTrucker Thanks this.
