I'd like to know some good places for a newb to start at who isn't afraid of being on the road for a couple of weeks at a time. Interested in either Vancouver or Calgary as I've lived in both cities.

Turnpikes in the prairies will pay you $0.50/mile.

I'll bet that the 50 cpm rate is the total "projected" average rate when you add the mileage rate, the rate per drop/del, crossing the border fee, meat fee and any other incidentals.

If a carrier is offering/paying 50 cpm for just miles driven it would make my spider senses tingle because there would be a catch somewhere.

Newbie question here if I may, but 50cpm, is that cents per US mile or is that in kilometers?

Yes, it is cents per mile (yeah we're dinosaurs) and Canadian miles and US miles are the same, they don't have a variable exchange rate. :biggrin_25520:

    Iron Flyer Thanks this.
