Well finally Made it out to Alberta. Left Victoria a month ago put on about 15,000k on the old Toyota. down to L.A then Austin, over to Nashville up to Winterpeg and back to Nelson.
I'm ready to work. planing to drive north towards G.P from Calgary. must be a few jobs in between.
Have an interest in rig moving. Spent the last year in a rail truck, kinda like a mini bed truck.
any suggestions from you kind folks.
    P.s
still unclear if i should buy my own safety tickets or if its a waste of money.

Uh, the TCH would have been a lot shorter. ;)

Calnash, B&R Eckles. There's a bunch more I can't think of right now, but someone else will fill in.

This forum has been really hopeful but I am hoping I could get some opinions on the situation that I am currently in. I was recently offered a job as a cement equipment operator for bakes hughes in red deer. I am wondering what your opinion is on the job/company, whenever you talk to a recruiter they make everything sound golden but I wanted to get the opinion from someone out in the field working. Base pay is 30 000 with job bonuses, do bonuses usually get paid out bi-weekly or monthly? Any feedback would be great. Thanks

All recruiters make the job sound awesome.

Weird hours, lots of on call.
You'll learn pumping, and all the downhole stuff you can handle.
A good start and a good in with the industry.
No clue how busy BH are but I imagine over staffed and not much field time. Crappy old equipment?
    Happy to stand corrected.
