This is exactly how mine works too. I also have the conversion chart but have never bothered to work out how much a load is worth. But same figure I just looked it up.

Thanks for the response. Just want I was looking for. I could get paid 30% if I wanted just figured the taxes might get me a bit harder. All is good though. This is a gravy job compared to any other oilfield work I've done.

    kfzr2 Thanks this.

Remember, only people that make money pay taxes.

I think that it might have enough momentum to keep busy until the spring break up. A couple of things to keep in mind considering the short-term outlook... It might be harder to get into a bigger company considering they may have depth in their labour pool, and will freeze hiring to get them over the slower periods. The small & medium sized businesses might still be in need of good, qualified people. The quickest way for you to be considered in January is to have a couple of tickets under your belt. Get a couple of online tickets from enform.ca like Animal Awareness, PST 2.0, and General Safety Orientation. Go to acsa-safety.org & get the CSTS course if you intend on working in construction. The easier it is for them to hire you, the better.

Also, when you do get your foot in, and making cash - from now until spring break up - save some up so you can go a few weeks without the regular paycheque. Novice mistake is to keep needing it through times your company wants you to just standby 'till the ground firms up.

Main theme, it ain't easy to get in, & stay in, so work hard & be smart.

    Peace.

Yeah that's assumed to be offered as on-the-job training even if you do have them, so don't bother.

Any compagnie suggestion around Edson and Hinton, who will be willing to hire a newbee in the oilfield for fluid hauling? Got 15 years experience with 4 axles trailer hauling so far.

    Thanks!

TDG can only be given to you by the carrier who hires you.
