Thinking about becoming an O/O with DeckX, Linehaul Division. Has anybody experience with them as an O/O? Average Miles/Month? Trip length? Waiting time/lay over? Have you experience with their lease program? Did you make it to own that leased truck? Your response is highly appreciated! Thanks in advance!!

DeckX is a part of TransX. I have a friend that had 4 trucks on with TransX doing highway freight and basically couldn't make it pay at the rates they give. You could do a lot better than them.

Thank you. Did your friend run 4 trucks at a time and had drivers on them? That would explain why he couldnt make a buck with them. I' m hearing people saying that I will never own the leased truck, while others are telling me, that DeckX has the best lease program in the industry.

I had the brochure sent to me awhile ago. You do own the truck after 4 years I think with a 1 dollar buy out or something. Just contact your local recruiter and they can send the brochure by email.

You're better off driving for them only.

If he couldn't make money with someone else driving the truck, why on earth would you drive it yourself?

Never forget, when you setup your business, the business MUST make enough to pay all it's expenses, and INCLUDE A DRIVER'S WAGE IN THOSE EXPENSES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Make this wage at least the same as if someone else was paying you. The business should also still have money leftover after paying all of that, and that is the profit your business earns. If you make your wage just what is leftover after fuel, truck note, insurance, all costs, THEN that amount is yours, you will be making less than if you just drove someone else's truck.

He drove one and had drivers in the other 3 ,he owned all 4 trucks outright.
If you have a down payment and cash startup you are much better off financing through a bank if you can.
