I think that if anybody doesnt care if TFW's are comin or not then that same person doesnt care about safety either. They are severely inexperienced to be turned loose right away in the mountain passes and road conditions we have here...just look at BC every winter...the majority of wre ks involve either illegals or TFW's

I could bet on it that there are a lot of our drivers who are more proffessional than many of Canadian counterparts ! We have a saying that there is always a little tar in a honeypot. And the tar makes everyone else look bad because they stand out. You really don`t notice the good drivers. -
But you can always emigrate from Canada if there are better countries in the world to drive a truck in.

Here's a question for the canucks.
Would you concider Bison a cheap compagny?(meaning they are bad for their drivers) -

You make it sound as though Canadian roads are unique in their mountainous nature and the fact they are sometimes covered in snow. What Canadians and north Americans consider a mountain pass is considered either a motorway or a autoroute in Europe. The Scandinavian countries in the north and the Alp rounds south of Switzerland and France running through northern Italy are vastly different.
I agree drivers should be given extensive training before being allowed to run free on the roads, and my knowledge is that most companies either enforce running team and or mentor driving for the best part of a month.
If safety was a major concern you might be better aiming it towards getting the industry out of the 18th century and into the 21st and ensuring disc brakes are the norm!
The general hypocritical nature of Canadians moaning about immigration is unmissable. -
spacemonkeypg, CbarM and TexasTailTwister Thank this. -
Disk brakes are not required to replace common sense. If someone has the proper training and smarts for this industry then they will be fine. Everyone wants to replace their brains with safety features. How the hell did these guys get over the passes years ago on skinnier roads with no jake brake and drum brakes...?? COMMON SENSE which apparently is severely lacking in alotta folks
