I watched this on yahoo.ca today; scary, crazy; poor driver is screaming , could get a hearth attack in this high stress situation, but kept his cool blood and controlled the truck; The driver passing unsafe should go to jail and never drive more than a bike.

I'm so sick of that video.

The idiot comes around the corner, SEES the freightliner passing the plow, and continues going around 80km/hr

Joetro, flood, Roadmedic and 2 others Thank this.

The freightliner backed down his speed and was going back behind the plow, but idiot with the dashcam just keeps on trucking like a moron.

Kind of reminds me of the saying, you might be right, but don't be dead right.

I could not understand why the truck was not slowing down. I saw the lights and thought that he should as a professional as well. Never realized he was the fool.

I didn't hear him keeping his cool, I heard him mashing the peddle to the floor and screaming like a little girl.

I have a samsung galaxy 3 and I use an ap called autoguard. It's free and really intuitive. I've been messing with this software for a couple weeks now and couldn't be more impressed. Ram mount phone holder (45 on amazon)

Fyi - I didn't go this route because of money - I actually think it's the best solution I've seen. I was pleasantly surprised; in my head I was thinking a decent dash cam would cost several hundred dollars.

It's real easy to talk a big game when watching a video that tells you there's a accident. When he is coming around the corner to me it looks like the fl may be tucked in behind the plow, by the time the trucks are parallel it's too darn late. At the point he realizes it'll take time to mentally compute and react, now try stopping at 80km/hr downhill on ice loaded.

I personally would have been slowing down the second I saw the plow even without the fl behind him but I have old school cutousy that seems to be missing in truckers these days

this is from my 720dpi dash cam, cheap "4-sight" 32 gb sd card is good for 8hr's at 720 dpi, night vison is not so good past the head light's....
click on the pic to load the video,
look at my nose mirror and his side mirror then look in the nose mirror and see just how much room is between us
