Hi Everyone,
My new job is putting me on a Canadian run right out of the gate. I tried searching for truck stops in Barrie, ONT but mostly I am finding a Petro Card lock location. Are there any places you'd recommend to shut down in? Should I stay farther South and just run up when I am scheduled to drop?

There's a new ON ROUTE service center right off the 400 Northbound in Barrie... That's your only option
Another Canadian driver, Criminey Jade and Macneil Thank this. -
Husky in Bradford if you're in the area.. Sometimes busy, sometimes not. Right off of the 400 north bound side!
Another Canadian driver and Criminey Jade Thank this. -
Yep, the Husky at exit 64. The enroute just before Barrie has very limited truck parking.

you can check out the serivce plaza they have wifi and such but other wise your best off with the Huskey as mentioned. neither the service plaza or the TS is anything like you will be usesd to seeing in the USA so be careful when entering the service plaza often guys park like morons and it can get really tight!
also i was at the TS mentioned when you come in it looks like your going to the tractor place (as they share the same entrance. WORD TO WISE THERE ARE POT HOLES THE SIZE OF MINI VANS when comming in to the TS side so keep it slow driver.Another Canadian driver and Criminey Jade Thank this. -
whats your time line like for your drop? theres a TA in woodstock, ON Flying J in london, and a 5th wheel Ts in Milton which nowadays it might as well be part of the GTA. 5th wheel isnt any thing to write home about but has free internet mcdonalds down the street and can usualy get parking quiet lot no lizards. theres alos a few places in the north side of toronto that could be useful. just depending on your apointment times. be prepared for Chicago style traffic
