It happens everyday already.
Why spend money that you don't have to in order to "buy" a job.
Driving schools don't teach you much these days. It could very well be that this guy has more time behind the wheel already than any driving school will give him.
Do you think the companies looking for drivers in third world countries care about who you share the road with, not likely. -
So you are telling me you all started as professionals. At least I'm trying to improve my skills and make a good contributions to my employer. No respect for a rookie? I don't come along and say North Americans are bad drivers because im European. That'd be offensive
Macneil Thanks this. -
Prairie Boy, Grimm 1 and nillz Thank this.

I know nothing about a 24 hr course but I can say those who work on the farm can be pretty darn good with a knowledge some havent yet obtained
Macneil, Grimm 1 and Licensed to kill Thank this. -

Sorry....but prefer the old informal apprentice system that was in place years ago....when you started with little experience they would put you in a straight truck for a few months, then a single axle with a pup for a year or so....move you up bigger as time went on....keep you in the city ( lots of backing exp.) You were a good 3-5 yrs before you would get on the big road....by that time you could deal with the stuff that happens.
But I guess what you sow....you reap. A 1 or 2 week course, they throw you a set of keys and tell you to call when you get to Vancouver.
Yes....but you have a warm arse in the seat...success. -
Essentially how I got my experience. Started in 5 tons then gravel hauler straight trucks then big rigs. Worked great!! Still learning!
As for the OP. I also believe the majority of farm workers are some of the best out there. Hard worker, quick learner!! Got no other choices but them two! -
That's it. I've had it with you people. I'm leaving for the hairstylist forums !
You have to admit Grimm makes a hellava point !!
