    Hey all,

First post, glad to join the forums and hopefully the ranks.

I am getting my things in order to start AZ school in Ontario. My only snag right now is the beginners test. I have my handbook, but as I read through it, it seems fairly daunting. I am just wondering if there are any specific points or parts I should focus on. I am probably over thinking this, but I am really looking forward to truck school and driving for a living, and this seems to be my only major roadblock.... Pun intended...

    Thanks in advance,
    Not-even-a-newbie-yet

Don't waste 5-6000$ on truck driving schools, and after you get your AZ nobody wants to hire you without experience; IMO this is the best option to start, free training & job. After 1 year you can go anywhere you want, I don't want to advertise , i just read about this training program also,I'mOO @ Celadon for over 10 years, they are not perfect but not bad , decent pay new equipment.

Go to a good school. Stay away from cheap ones. For me the first week was prepping for the test then the class went to write the test after we were all prepared. And if u go to a good school u should have no problem finding a job. I had a job the day I was done school.

I had a job lined up before I was done school. Didn't work out as I waited over 3 weeks for a road trainer. Found another job just as easy. Go to a good school and you'll have no problems. Try to stay away from the mega carriers as much as you can. Small companies are by far the best.

Pay the money. Nothing worse than paying for a cheap school or getting a cheap package at the school and then failing your test because you didn't get enough hours of training.

Thanks for the advice but the school choice isnt the issue. I just want some tips about writing my beginners. Its a pre reqs for the course I am taking. The book has a ton of info in it and its a little overwhelming. Just wondering what points I should focus on.

Hey y'all, passed the A, missed a CVOR question and a coupling question. Starting school in 2 weeks if all goes as planned.
