Why does everyone think Alberta's a baron wasteland lol... It's booming, lotsa nice places to live. I feel sad when I tell people what I paid for my condo in bc and people in Alberta tell me they bought a house for that. I'm starting to like my time off on chunks of weeks, not 2 day weekends that always go by so fast!

I agree!
I myself am from Ontario and have been out here for 9 years. I love it and will never go back
to that #### ontario job market!
As Nate stated above, Alberta is what you make of it and its a great place to live.
Prairies, desert, boreal forest, mountains, foothills....
I'm in GP, and if you want a job come now because this winter is going to be balls to the wall! well
already is!
