I started this job to learn trucking business. My day for the last 2 months consists of driving, dropping of a load, getting a new one and driving again. I really dont have any time to chat with other drivers. Yes, you learn how to drive a big rig, maintain it and deal with breakdowns, but 6-12 months is plenty for learning the basics of all that, you can wait forever to learn everything. If it was not for this forum I could do this job for 5 years and still know nothing about business side of it. -

BASARAB,
I've been in this business for 54 years and still learn things at times.
This I can tell you, the Government give auto manufacturers subsidies to survive.
Trucking companies don't need subsidies, they just hire Owner Operators/Lease Operators instead.Rudester Thanks this. -
Speedloader, do you think I go travel in North America? Lol I doubt you know restaurants in the Philippines.
