Well keep us posted on what transpires please. I would be interested in knowing if there are any delays in granting your license because of the medical.

According to the Drive Test center any medication on the medical means an automatic referral to the MTO board of doctors. They could not give me a narrow time frame. Both of the schools require the medical before you can enroll which makes sense so I am basically in a waiting period

Well did you ask if they will let you get started on your course and then deal with the medical when it comes up?

I guess the school is worried if my medical does not go through they would have to refund the money paid for the course and I would take a seat that could have gone to someone else.

Hmm. Im going to the training center as well as the school today. I need to get it cleared up as well. The MTO told me as long as my doctor will ok me to be a candidate for a cdl then I will be ok. I,m not sure schools would refund your money if you can pass the medical. One school told me to lie on it and since they are only concerned with filling seats I would think they wouldnt say that If they would have to refund it but cant say what each schools policy is. I will let you know what I find out in case it may help you.

I have chosen TTTC. I just came from there and speaking with my case worker from 2nd career funding. I am now in the same boat.I was told that i need to get the medical done first. Then take it to the driver test place. They will be able to tell me then if the medical will have to go for review. If it does it could take 4-5 months. The girl at TTTC ( who has been wonderful) said if that happens to bug the MTO every few days about getting it done. She told me it does make a big difference in how long it takes, and also i should go the my MPP and get them on it If its taken more than a cple months.Sadly though I am also unable to start the course or even get the funding approved until this is done.

Is that Transport Training Centers Of Canada? I just dropped off my medical and I asked how it takes for the board to review and the lady says six weeks is typical however I was given the same advice and start calling at the end of the month. Hate not knowing
