    im asking for a friend,,,any info on SWIFT transportation (the big US company) ...seems they have 25 trucks based at Calgary. know about their reputation in the US but info on the Calgary yard appreciated.

    I see their trailers at the Transx yard in Calgary but do not know if they are affiliated or just renting space.

    likely just renting space , SWIFT has a small operation in Ontario as well but no real company yard of their own set up yet

    thanks folks..well my friend went and completed his "rules for tools' down in ID at a Swift depot,seems they are going to be hiring big time in Calgary.. a lot of pin to pin seemingly and he told me he is on 50c a mile.(experienced hand) and a new shaker to drive.

    Tell yer buddy thanks for not doing any homework into seeing if he may be able to do the same working for a smaller, less greedy, cut rate outfit with a horrible reputation...

    That may be catching up to them. There last financial statement basically said that they are having trouble with organic growth and sustaining their fleet and that revenue may be down in the future to deal with the problem. We treat our drivers like crap = "Driver Shortage".
