Thumbs down Bobtail Parking at Truckstops

What is the general consensus here?

I am sitting here at the Flying J here in Calgary, Ab where there is some "Bobtail Only" Parking available as well as quite a few spots where there is room to share a full spot with another Bobtail.

About 20 minutes ago a Bobtail has pulled into a full spot while across the lane and right beside me there is a spot which already has a bobtail at the other end as the bobtail that was sharing it with him has already left this am.

Granted at this time in the morning there are quite a few spots open for truck/trailer to get into, I cant for the life of me understand why he would not pick a full spot when he only needs a half, and there are plenty around!

I see this a lot at many of the very tight stops and it just shows me that the "ME" generation has spread throughout this industry.

Just a note, when I got here last night at 11:30 I had the option of a pretty sweet front row full spot, or backed up to another bobtail (I am bobtailing now) I backed up to the bobtail and left the full spot for someone who needed it.

Nothing worse than coming in and finding a spot. You start to set up for it and yep all the way in the back of the spot is a bobtail. or you start to pull into a truck spot at a rest area and some stupid 4 wheeler is in it....

I have always hated it when your tired and need a place to park, and yup there is a bobtail, taken a spot you needed.. I have seen this too many times and stopped complaining, because it just does not good...

Whats worse is when you look right beside that bobtail and see another one from the same company right next to it!

Now that means 2 spots are taken up

I love it when the only spots you can find in a truckstop have RV's in 'em. And I don't mean the ones with "In transit by (Your Vehicle-Shuttling/Delivery Company here)" on the windows.
That makes me so angry, I haven't words in three languages foul enough.
One guy I worked with even said, that, on more than one occasion, truckstop management tried to get him to leave his spot because they wanted to give the spot to an RV.
You can guess his response, especially AFTER he'd already bought ~1000 litres of their fuel and a meal....

Yeah, we just had 2 park next to us last week from the same co. At least they could have shared one spot. People don't care anymore. Once they get a spot to heck with anyone else....

Full size spots with one bobtail can be handy for us guys pulling super b's. We can pull in behind him without our pup hanging out of our spot.

I rarely stay the night in truck stops anyway. Just to grab fuel and snacks and I'm outta there.

Oh, And believe it or not, I've seen full tractor/trailers parked in the bobtail spots.

    Figure that one out!
