Winnipeg Police, fire and haz mat units spent most of Monday night at a trucking compound on Eagle drive dealing with a chemical spill.

Numerous trucks were lined up outside the Gardewine North building at 60 Eagle drive as a result..

Emergency Units first responded to the compound just after 7:30 and closed it down..

There was an unconfirmed report a drum of Hydrochloric acid was punctured and the contents started leaking.

There were no reports of any injuries but many people at the scene were examined by paramedics for any ill-effects..
