Truckers concerned about limiting speed Truckers concerned about limiting speed
Chatham Daily News, Canada
New legislation limiting speeds of transport trucks is going to slow everyone down, warn some local truckers.
It is now law that transport trucks operating in Ontario have speed limiters restricting them to travelling a maximum of 105 km/h.
It wasn’t difficult to find truckers with an opinion on this issue at the Bloomfield Truck Stop yesterday.
Chatham trucker, Robert Charron Jr., who is an owner operator, called Chatham-Kent MPP Pat Hoy and Chatham-Kent MP Dave Van Kesteren with concerns about the speed limitation.

I'm at the Flying J in London , ON right now and I can tell you there are quite a few Ontario based trucks that don't have the speed limited to 105 km.h . I have to go through Toronto early tomorrow a.m. . Should be interesting . (Then have to go back to KY , reload Thursday and do it again . )

I wouldn't be surprised that you see many still not limited. Many of the guys who are still "wide open" are taking advantage of the grace period. I just started with a new company and my truck can still do over 105 but it is scheduled to be limited by the end of the month.
