Regulation 26.66 (4.1) of WorkSafe B.C.’s Occupational Health and Safety rules states:

Uh, you're talking out of your ass on this one ... no offense.

The "Houston" they are referring to in the article is Houston, BC, and they're talking about heavy, off-road logging trucks. Also, the driver isn't saying they're out of shape, he's saying due to the different nature of their equipment, they run the risk of injuries if they are forced to operate the equipment in a way that differs from normal practise.

you right,i am referring to the ''new breed'' of today...my bad

AND THIS IT WERE IT ALL STARTS....LOL,LOL

NEXT WE WILL BE HEARING ''STERRING WHEEL HOLDERS'' CRYING BECAUSE THEY HAVE TO GET OUT AND PUT THERE LANDING GEAR DOWN..

''IT'S TO HARD'', ''ITS A LAW SUIT'', ''MY BACK IS STRAINED'',''IT'S HURTING ME'' OR BETTER YET,LMAO '' ITS A WORKERS COMP ISSUE''

I am sorry,i have heard it all with this crying b/s from all drivers...

when does it end?...

When i started trucking it was ''pure hell''!!!!! Just so sick of the ''catering'' to drivers..Its sickening to see this....

Trucking is not meant to be for ''sissy's'' and its not meant to be for the ''candy a.z.z.''...Its a tough industry that people want to change all the time and make it ''cozy'' and ''comfortable''....
If thats the case, then drivers should not be ''truckers'' they should be a ''dispatcher'' and sit on there a.z.z.,punch keys, talk on phones and go home after 8 hours.....simple

very true, they are hauling up to 150 tons down a 20-30% grade they want to make sure its done right, not the way some desk jockey thinks it should be done. it ain't about being lazy its about doing the job right, i grew up around logging and fat boy logging trucks and i totally understand what was being discussed in that article and fully agree with it.

The guy is not in any way being lazy. He is saying he WANTS to climb on the trailer to do his job not that he does not want to get on the trailer.

With the law he would not be able to.
